Enjoy the mountain views from the water with family or friends. Our swan boats seat up to three people.

Operation depends on the weather and lake conditions. Boats may be unavailable on the day of your visit.

CAFE SUIGETSU

Coffee with a lake view

Take a break overlooking Lake Haruna and Mount Haruna Fuji. Enjoy coffee, gelato and sweets before or after your time on the water.

Opening hours: 10:00–16:00
Hours may change, or the cafe may close, depending on the day and weather.

Dogs are welcome on the terrace.

Wakasagi fishing

Fish for wakasagi (Japanese smelt) from a boat. Rental fishing rods are available. Bring warm layers, sun protection and drinks for your day on the lake.

Explore Lake Haruna by fishing boat. Fishing permits are required; boat hire and equipment charges are separate.

Fishing arrangements and safety instructions are provided in Japanese. If you do not speak Japanese, please arrange help from a Japanese-speaking companion before planning a fishing trip.

From Takasaki Station

Take a bus bound for Lake Haruna (Harunako). The journey takes approximately 90 minutes. Check current departures and the last return bus before travelling.

By car

Approximately 50 minutes from Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange on the Kan-Etsu Expressway. Use the address above for navigation.

Combine your visit with Haruna Shrine, the Mount Haruna Ropeway or a stroll through Ikaho Onsen.
